This beautiful, functional and contemporary Green Tower beachfront home flows out to a private, sandy beach just steps from the ocean’s edge. Newly constructed, with more than 2500 square feet of open living space the home embodies visions of relaxation and escape. Located in a residential area off of the main Placencia Peninsula Road, the home affords a serene guest environment. Designed by its architect owner, the home maximizes function and is eco-friendly.

Of concrete construction, the main living space boasts a 12-14+ foot high sloped native hardwood ceiling with 9 foot ceilings in the rest of the rooms. High volume low speed fans (Big Ass® Fans) are well placed throughout the home and patio for added comfort. Hurricane resistant doors and windows are used throughout.Retractable,9-12 foot wide doors open the home directly onto the pristine private beach and the upstairs balcony. The kitchen, living and master bedroom open directly onto the covered, 600 square foot, beautifully tiled main patio.

greenTower-10Steps lead down to the beach where in just over 100 feet the ocean edge awaits your arrival. Directly outside the kitchen is a large built-in gas grill with side burner and excellent cooking space for grilling your fresh catch of the day. Welcome the sunrise from the 90 square foot balcony off the east facing upstairs bedroom or venture up the stairs to the Green Tower roof top deck. The Tower’s 200 square foot roof top deck features a 16 foot long bar for enjoying evening cocktails as the sunsets over the Maya Mountains, or early morning coffee while experiencing the sunrise over the ocean, or lounge chair sleeping under the dark, vast,starry sky.

Three beautiful, well-sized bedrooms and 2.5 baths complete the Green Tower House.

The main floor master bedroom features a king size platform bed. The en suite bathroom includes a stylish rain head and wand shower, two sinks, and a walk-in closet. The second floor east bedroom features a queen size bed and the west bedroom features two extra-long twin beds which can be joined to form a king. The upstairs bedrooms share a spacious Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower and large counter space, similar to the master bath. Each bedroom has its own closet. All bedroom furniture – bed platforms, nightstands and dressers – are of custom crafted local hardwood. Individual A/C units in each bedroom and large ceiling fans add to guest comfort. An outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after a long day of outdoor fun.

Numerous original artworks by local Belizean and U.S. artists are scattered throughout the home for your enjoyment. The high-end kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a 4 burner gas range, microwave, dishwasher, and large refrigerator/freezer. An ample collection of cookware, utensils, and miscellaneous kitchen gadgets should cover all of your cooking needs. The house also boasts a spectacular wet bar with a large continuous ice maker (don’t underestimate the need for this much ice), Ninja blender, cocktail wares, and plenty of storage. An indoor laundry room adjacent to the wet bar complete with a sink and new full size washer and gas dryer will allow you to travel light.

The home is equipped with internet access, a 48 inch TV screen that can accommodate a computer connection for watching movies. Apple TV is also connected so you can log into your itunes account for music or movies. A surround sound system in the living area and outdoors and a stereo system with ipod docking station can accommodate your music library. For additional entertainment, games and cards are available to keep both kids and adults occupied.

greenTower-03Outdoor activities include lounging or reading on the patio in a comfortable, contemporary deep seating area or take the lounge chairs out on the beach to catch some rays or simply relax under the palm trees. A comfortable hammock awaits you under the trees on the beach for a nice afternoon or evening nap. The home also comes equipped with 2 kayaks (coming soon), several life jackets, some snorkeling gear and fishing rods. You can try your luck off the dock just a few yards from the home or further out on the developing reef about 100 yards from the shoreline. For the adventurous guest ready to explore the area, two bicycles and backpacks, binoculars, water bottles and basic hiking gear are available. Excursions to nearby Cockscomb Basin Preserve or Bocawina National Park or the “secret waterfall” are all reachable by car. Directions to the “secret waterfall”can be found in a book at the house.

Inside the home’s detached garage you will find 2 bicycles and the other outdoor gear. A rental car is recommended to get you to the grocery and back as well as to several wonderful restaurants, bowling,and the village of Placencia. The owners will provide “insider” information and recommendations for adventures in the area to make your visit one of the most memorable ever!

Green Tower House is a beautiful 3 plus hour drive through the gorgeous mountains and rain forest of Central Belize.

With 4 or more guests, this is an economical option in lieu of booking flights with the local commuter airlines. If you prefer the 30 minute commuter flight, there is also car rental available on the peninsula through Car Rental of Placencia. They will arrange to pick you up at the airport. A rental car can be arranged through via Crystal’s at the Belize international airport or contact the Anchor management for other rental companies.

Cancellation/Amendment Policy: If written cancellation/amendment is received 60 days prior to arrival, a full refund less one night deposit will be made. If it is received less than 60 days in advance a 50% refund will be made. There will be no refund for reservations cancelled less than 45 days prior to scheduled arrival.
